Finding gratitude for the darkness

My gratitude practice is not always about being grateful for the obvious beautiful moments that make me feel amazing. The most powerful part of my practice is for when I manage to find peace in being grateful for the darker times, the times where I have been at rock bottom, or when I was broken, or when my heart shattered into a million pieces, when I was so ill I thought I didn’t want to go on and all the other times where life didn’t feel like it was “meant” to.

To be able to work through these times and eventually find a way to see them as portholes to new ways of being has been my most powerful practice of all.

Through this I’ve managed to come to terms with so much.

So don’t always think your gratitude practice has to be for the sunshine it can also be for the rain and storms too

What are you grateful for today?
